There were three of the governors of the nation .they were one of the most brilliant bunches of technocrats in the land,having gone through the National royal academy a university created by the nation's president, for training of government officials.They came out of academy leading all students.They had gone through intense three years of studies in science and liberal art comprising of literature, languages,philosophy ,politics, history,astronomy,public administration,etc.
They had graduated with distinction and found to be far above others. They had been absorbed immediately into president's cabinet and then appointed governors over three strategic states of the country.
They were very brilliant administrator. And more importantly, they were believers,dedicated children of God amidst a large number corrupt,immoral and unbelieving government officials.having being place in strategic positions in government ,they had impeded several corrupt moves of their colleagues : they had obstructed stoutly various attempts to inflate contract and deflate the government treasury.they were serving the president and the public in the fear of God and this had made them to step on several toes of their fellow official.
Previously, about a year or two before then, the president had run into a serious psychological problem. He
had woken up early one morning and had looked berserk. He was attacked overnight by a terrible feeling after coming out of an awful nightmare and had remained sleepless. But for the spiritual halp from the three christian
governors who had intervened in prayers and counselling, the President was already strangely overwhelmed by the odd demonic attack and hah began to began to behave strangely by attempting to give an executive oerder for the trial and execution of some of his aides and advisers.thus these brilliant and Godly governors were consequently promoted to the level of Regional administrators of the Country,with the responbility of supervising other governors under their respective region. They were therefore loved by the president and were
regarded as his very close associates and advisers.
surprisingly,perhaps,the mental illness of the president relapsed.His, was a case of serious psychosomatic disorders. seemingly,his mind and body had been strangely attacked once more and this made him give an unusual undemocratic order decreeing that all churches in the country must close up for month. Why? He had just built a prestigious temple on a plan ground in the central part of the country and had caused annoucement
to be made on the national radio and television including the well circulated newspaper concerning the inaugration of the Royal Temple. All the governors ,nation's ministers and the regional administrators including all government officials had been invited and were expected for the inauguration.The police and the security operatives nation-wide had been ordered to enforce the law. It has been announced that people
must observe the holiday all over country and that at noon the national network television would beam the picture of the royal temple and worshipers in the temple life and at noon, everyone would worship nation-wide at the same time as they watch the live telecast.
However, something was seriously wrong with the temple which every one did not really cared about, but instead were much excitement about it because it seemed an innovative idea created by the president; inside the temple,right at the altar was a huge statue of a man covered with a solid plate of gold.those christian administrators had refused to show up at the inauguration of the Royal Temple ,and they had refused to observe the national holiday or worship at the time announced to the public. The three of them had gather in a church on that day at that time to worship their Lord God with solemn fast. for them to pay obeisance to an image made with human hands.Expectedly, a truck-load of anti-riot policemen invaded the church arrested the three men. Many other government official knew they would kick against the President
order because of their strong belief in their God. Not long the new had spread about the rebellious
obstinacy of the three famous regional administrators who had chosen the path of mutiny to express their loyalty to the only true God of all gods and Lord of Lord. Astonishingly, they were all charged with treason and accused of insurgency at the same time. The news spread over media that the three famous administrator had been found to be plotting to overthrow the president. And most of the meetings had occurred in the church building ,and that a while the special worship session was in the newly commissioned Royal Temple,they had gathered others with them in the church building , perfecting their plans. So they had promptly arrested.They were taken before the Tribunal and later sentenced to death. THE ACT OF REBELLION AGAINST THE PRESIDENT IS A SERIOUS CRIME AGAINST THE STATE "So they reasoned.
In order to protect the the sovereignty of the nations president and serve as deterrent to others, the state decided to make their execution public in the full glare of the television and photographic cameras. The execution day was fixed for saturday by 4pm.
in some part of the eastern world,dead bodies are not buried but cremated and the cremated remains are poured in a container like bottles ,earthen or ceramics pot or dishes and treated so scared. In some cities in country like India, Thailand and few others Asian Nations,cremation dead bodies are commonly done in the open, while in many cities in the western world: cremation are built for these purpose ,like the city of london Cemetery and Crematorium in Richmond,UK.
In this case ,this president of an eastern world nation had,in His usual oddity,decided to burn these three condemned criminal alive. A large crematory chamber was hurriedly built in an open
place where spectators could have a full view of the happenings.The news had gone around,informing the people of public execution by burning the criminals alive in crematory chamber.
Then the day came. As early as sunrise, activities began at the cremation venue .Outside Broadcasting trucks of TV and Radio stations were beginning to arrive and there cameras were taking vantage position. By 3.00pm, the whole place was full and the chamber ,which was located in the centre of the venue ,was already burning with huge flames.
The President and His large entourage of government executive and aids drove in very long convoy into venue:
his pilot vehicles blaring deafening sirens and host of security personnel running on the either sides of his large black car. There was a loud cheer as he stepped out of the car and walked to a covered section of the arena . All government officials were seated. Next came a large green prisoners truck which pulled up very close to the covered pavilion.
The three men were led out of the back of the truck,in leg chins and handcuffs. They were led to a raised podium where they stood beside each other, facing the crowd as if they would receive medal after an athletic game.their facial expressions remain unperturbed or some how very expressionless.They were standing before the large mass people but it seemed fixed on the burning flames in the chamber. Then Excellency lifted up his hand to demand for quietness and there was an instant silence among the crowd.
He walked to a small lectern beside his seat and pause a while. After scanning through the entire crowd with his stern eyes, he clear his throat and spoke few word laced with arrogance and pride. He roared in short speech, sending dreadful signals into the spines of the hearers. He emphasised that the state would not permit disloyalty in whatever form.
He reminded the apparently terrified spectators of the crimes of the three well known figures:they had refused to obey the law commanding every one,especially all government officials, to come and worship in the newly constructed Royal Temple housing the royal statue the new symbol of National entity.
The men were given one more opportunity to reaffirm their stand before the public and in the full glare of the nation's TV cameras. The president said if they change their mind and publicly renounce their faith in their illegal religion and apologize openly,the fire in the chamber will be
extinguished immediately.
The leader of the three took the microphone in his handcuffed hands and grave silence befell the crowd.A lot of people wished that the man would give that word of apology and a change of mind to to win for them an express Presidential padon and get them off that fiery hook. however,on the contrary, he opened his mouth and bellowed unrepentantly at the crowd.He said,the entire republic should take note that they would compromise their faith in their living God neither would they pay obeisance to that which is not the true God. "OUR FEAR IS GONE! WE ARE DEAD LONG TIME AGO WHEN THE KING OF ALL KING KILL OUR MOTAL BODY AND GAVE TO US A GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE. WE DIED LONG TIME AGO WHEN WE PAY ALLEGIANCE TO THE PRINCE OF PEACE AND ACCEPTED HIS FREE OFFER OF SALVATION . THIS FIRE WILL ONLY CONSUME OUR LONG-DEAD BODIES AND PAVE A WAY FOR US TO TRANSIT TO ETERNAL GLORY WHERE WE SHALL SEE HIM WHO PAID THE PRICE FOR ALL OUR AWFUL SINS.HEAR,YOUR EXELLENCY,WE DESIRE NO MORE TO LIVE IN THIS EARTHEN VESSELS:WE EARNESTLY COVET OUR GLORIOUS BODIES AWAITING US BEYOND THE ROARING FLAMES. JESUS CHRIST IS LORD,YOUR EXCELLENCY! HE IS LORD OVER THE UNIVERSE AND HIM WE SHALL SERVE AND UNTO HIM WE SHALL MAKE OUR OBEISANCE."
The other two likewise affirmed the words of the spokesman, and great thoughtful silence overshadowed the crowd. They message had sunk deep into their hearts. They had been introduced to the true living God. The president became more irate. He signalled to a senior army officer standing by the criminals. He too turn and gave order to the twelve standing soldiers who had been assigned to the special assignment. The noise had subsided. the soldier per one led them up the ladder to the top of the chamber which was a flat metal platform from where criminals could be pushed in to the chamber below and people could see them through the large window of the flaming furnace.
The whole thing look like one of those horror Hollywood movies. Many held there breathe and many of the officials sat on their seat' edge, if they had their ways,they would avoid this inhumane spectacle,but they feared for their lives too.
An evident show of loyalty is to honour the call of the president, the person personal opinion side.
High up the metal platform over the fiery chamber,the president gave quick order to the captain in charge to command his men to do as planned. Each of the men was carried shoulder high by four soldier towards the large opening on top of the chamber.All together,they moved towards the roof opening of the chamber and flung the men in to the flames.but before they could back back off ,the heat of the flame had caught up with them . they fell backward on the platform and remained motionless immediately. The crowd could not concentrate on the fate of the soldier but on those men who had been thrown into the chamber.
The strange things happened. In the full view of the tele-cameras and the spectators,like cinematic slow-motion effect, the world stood still as these three men rose up in the flame.They began to stand on their feet, firstly looking surprised, then then, they began to converse one another .than began to walk about over the burning woods and the red embers .People began to scream in horror.The president sat on the spot speechlessly astounded.He held tightly the edges of his seat.
Then, the master of all wonders occurred.From a concern of the chamber ,a tall handsome young man in white robe and golden girdle walked to them and embraced them with a sweet smile.
Then they all st down on one of the red hot burning log of wood and were talking and smiling. the strange man was telling them something no one could hear, while they were listening with joyful interest. after a while, He stood up and embraced each of them and wave to them bye-bye". Then He walked back in the same direction He came . The three were men walking abut in the flame and having some nice time while people outside was already gripped with terrible fear. One of the senor officials was hypertensive. He had slumped on his seat and a few security officers were attending to him. It was all spectacle to behold!
In absolute bewilderment, the President rose up on his seat and dreamily, he walked closer to the burning chamber to have a clearer view of the wonder-men. They ,in turn, saw him and wave at him with a smile from inside the flame. It was like a horror movie.Then the president beckoned at them to come out of the fire . They rose up from the burning logs of wood they were sitting upon and walked out of the chamber in the presence of all . there was hysterical uproar. All the government officials were beholding them with utter astonishment, stiff-scared to even touch them. It was president who first touched their skin out of some reserved courage.They had suffered no hurt.They had experienced no burn on their body neither were their cloth affected.Strange still, the smell of smoke was not felt on them at all.They look as fresh as ever or even fresher like someone who had just taken his shower,towel-dried his body and applied some deodorant body spray.Their body was scenting nice.Strange.
Shortly after, the federal Executive Council held their an emergency meeting and rectify a decree approving a national religion and giving Presidential endorsement of Christianity and the worship of Lord God Jehovah alone.That evening ,His Excellency made a Presidential broadcast Nationwide. To keep Nation's citizens abreast of the latest development..
